Programming the Nokia #N900

A couple of weeks ago, I wrote a blog post about Bright Shiny Tools, where I considered the pros and cons of various programming languages. Since then, my Nokia N900 has arrived and I’ve started programming for that. I’ve also introduced my daughter to Squeak, but I’ll leave that for another day. There is also more exciting stuff in the Matlab world, but that will wait even longer.

“Entertain your cronies with a pork feast...”

There are some great Democrats potentially running for Governor in Connecticut, but I'm not ready to throw my support behind any one of them yet.

This is partly because my wife is a senior organizer for Common Cause in Connecticut, which makes her officially a paid lobbyist. Right now, as the spouse of a paid lobbyist, I’m going to limit my activities to focusing on the issues, and highlight any good potential candidate when they have something important to say on the issues.

One of the top issues that Kim lobbies for is the support of the Citizen's Election Program. Rudy Marconi who is exploring a run for Governor of Connecticut has a great video up about his commitment to the Citizen’s Election Program. It is well worth the watch.

Hat tip to Kim for pointing out the video and to Rick Green for pointing to it from his blog.

Howard Dean, Joe Lieberman and Paul Hodes

When I first set up Orient Lodge, I was posting blog entries on several different blogs. Over time, I've focused more on my writing here, and less on other sites. That said, yesterday, I wrote a post focused on Rep. Paul Hodes of New Hampshire and the blog BlueHampshire. I am cross posting it below the fold as part of my archiving and for those interested in my thoughts on a Senate race in another New England state.
