Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit

Well, another month has slipped by, or perhaps more accurately, sped by. It is summer, and things should be at a slower pace. In certain ways, there has been that summer pace. I did spend several days sitting on a hill listening to folk music. That's a blog post or two still waiting to be written.

Yet it has been busy at work, and campaigning has kept me busy when I'm not at work. I still have a lot on my plate, and it's likely to get busier once September roles around. I will try to take some time to relax this month, with a trip out to Cape Cod.

My brother-in-law is out on the Cape. He has always been fascinated by sharks, and was in the general vicinity of the shark attack in Truro. He has posed with his family near one of the shark sighting signs.

A friend's father just passed away. I stopped by briefly pick up some papers I needed from his wife and to offer condolences. It is one of those events that makes you think through your life and my thoughts go out to him and his family.

Then, there is the rabbit, the monthly recollection of the childhood wish for good luck for the coming month. It is the time of year that the rabbits eat languidly in the early morning dew before the heat of the day comes on.

Have a beautiful August, accomplishing what needs to get done, but still managing to find time to enjoy peaceful meals and quiet times.
