Random links
Submitted by Aldon Hynes on Tue, 01/25/2005 - 19:30I’ve caught up on my emails and have gotten a chance to visit a few interesting websites. So, here are a few worth checking out:
Alzheimer's: Living With An Impostor. After Kim’s grandfather’s battle with Alzheimer’s battle with Alzheimer’s, I really appreciate reading this site.
Kim’s brother has a massive fascination with sharks, so this movie seems like a must see.
Finally, with all the discussions about ethics of bloggers and the DNC race, this blog entry puts it all into an interesting perspective.

Digging Out
Submitted by Aldon Hynes on Mon, 01/24/2005 - 13:30Last night, I boarded the 10 PM Amtrak train from Washington DC to Stamford, CT. When I go to Washington, I like to take the train, and the 10 PM train home is usually a great train. Get on in Washington, fall asleep, and get to Stamford at around four in the morning. Normally, there aren’t a lot of people on the train.
However, last night was different. With the Northeast digging out from more than two feet of snow in some areas, many airports were closed and flights canceled. Many stranded airline passengers resorted to the train and it was packed. Amtrak was mostly on schedule. It did leave Washington about half an hour late, but got into Stamford on time.

Quick Update
Submitted by Aldon Hynes on Thu, 01/20/2005 - 21:44I am heading to a conference in DC for the next couple of days, so there is a good chance that I won't be updating this site, or responding to emails.
Also, I've had a lot of problems with my site being slow because of various links that I had in the lower left corner (SiteMeter, Flickr, etc). I've turned off all of that stuff for the time being. I may turn it back on later. We'll see.
